Who hasn’t heard of the famous or rather infamous Dracula? But does anyone know that the legend of Dracula was based on a life of a real-life Count?
Count Dracul, (the ‘a’ at the end was added later on) was the son of Vlad Dracul, a knight of the Dragon Order of the medieval Hungarian Empire.
Dracul or the Dragon as all members of the Order had an embossed dragon on their coat of arms, was according a certain legend was a very cruel ruler of his area. He had issued the death penalty against everyone, who he thought, was against him.
According to another theory, the mythical story of Count Dracula is nothing but a fictional account, made famous by Bram Stroker’s story about one such Count Dracula, a prince of the 15th century Transylvania, current day Romania.
According to Stroker’s exploits, this count was actually a vampire, who in his lust of blood, would lured his unsuspecting guests in the dark, alleys of his castle and would kill them to drink their blood.
The castle in ion question, is sometimes, referred to as Bran’s Castle, but mostly it goes by the name of Dracula’s Castle, is one of the most famous tourist attractions in current-day Romania.
With its dark, mysterious labyrinth of ghostly nooks and secret chambers easy to hide a ‘vampire’, it doesn’t take much of a guessing as to why it is so-named.
The castle is situated atop a ridge, along the Bran Pass in the city of Brasov, Romania.

Well, Ravi, as my entry points out that the person, Count Dracul, was a real-life human being, but the story of him being a vampire was a fictional account made up by Bran Stroker, a 19th century writer.

Well, as far as I know they are not real. But that''s the thing. The bran stroker was based on the cruel exploits of a real-life count that the story took off so well, that still, some people, nowadays, believe in Vampires.
Just like children believe in Santa Claus, so does some adults do in Vampires.
